John Wauchope OAM, Director / Principal
FAICD FAIM

John has had extensive experience in the insurance/finance sector and in corporate governance, compliance and quality, risk management and committee operations.

 

He is associated with companies involved in receivables management and legal services. He is also involved in the NFP sector in primary and community health and aged care.

 

He presently holds Board positions with Recoveries Corporation Group Ltd, Mason Black Lawyers and Transaction Captal Australia Holdings Ltd.

 

John has also been involved in the public sector; both local and state government, resulting in a number of board appointments to statutory bodies / government owned businesses including the Country Fire Authority (CFA) and Western Water Corporation.

 

He is a Fellow of both the Australian Institute of Management and of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He was awarded the Order of Australia Medal [OAM] in the 2016 Queens Birthday Honours.

 

 

Mark McTaggart, National Lead Auditor

Lead Auditor for Claims & Rehabilitation, Training

Mark joined the BRM team in 2006. Mark is an established Auditor and Lead Auditor with more than 20 years experience in claims management, rehabilitation management and compliance.

 

Mark's professional experience was gained in the insurance industry in the management of workers' compensation claims. Mark comes from an Agent background managing a full claims team. He has excellent technical knowledge and a detailed understanding of the overall process of claims management. 

 

Mark has an outstanding reputation and is well known within the Australian self-insurance and workers' compensation industry.

 

Mark provides hands-on training that is full of practical first-hand information and experience.

 

 

Samantha Robinson, Client Services

Auditor for Claims & Rehabilitation

Sam joined the BRM team in 2008. Sam has significant experience in workers' compensation, working in claims management,  compliance and performance improvement.

 

Samantha is an experienced Injury Claims Consultant, having managed a number of portfolios of varying sizes and complexities for a large Victorian WorkCover Agent prior to her commencement with BRM.

 

Samantha has also completed training in Comcare, claims management and is accredited in auditing Quality Management Systems.

 

 

Sophie Anastasov, Client Development

Lead Auditor for Claims & Rehabilitation

Sophie joined the BRM team in 2012. Sophie has an extensive background in both workers' compensation and occupational health and safety.  She previously worked for WorkSafe for over 21 years in senior leadership roles, focussing on developing strategies for improved services and reduced injuries and illnesses in Victorian Workplaces.

 

Sophie has been in leadership roles involving the management and liaison with WorkSafe?s Agents, management of WorkSafe?s H&S statistical area as well as Director roles in WorkSafe?s health and safety division.

 

 

Allan Louey

Auditor for Claims & Rehabilitation

Allan joined the BRM team in 2016. Allan is a workers? compensation professional with extensive experience and technical knowledge of key claims management and auditing activities that drive performance and accountability.

 

Allan has managed claims teams and been in leadership roles at large Victorian WorkCover Agents.

 

Prior to joining BRM, Allan worked as an auditor for WorkSafe Victoria for eight years and was involved with the implementation and management of the scheme's Agent Performance Adjustment audits.

 

 

Fiona van Ree 

Client Services

Fiona joined the BRM team in 2017.  She has extensive experience in claims management, return to work and self insurance licence management.

 

Fiona joins BRM with experience overseeing workers compensation requirements for several national self insurers and is well versed in compliance to regulatory requirements.

 

With over 10 years' experience in the provision of workers compensation and injury management strategic advice, Fiona is focused on the provision of quality care for injured employees while ensuring optimal outcomes for employers.
